Privacy Policy
How we collect, use, and protect your personal information under the Australian Privacy Act 1988 and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).
Last updated: 29 April 2026
Tupper Security Services (ABN 30 334 789 764) takes your privacy seriously. This policy explains what personal information we collect when you use this website or engage us as a security provider, how we use it, and your rights under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
1. What we collect
We collect personal information directly from you when you:
- Submit a quote request, contact form, or careers application — typically your name, phone number, email, address, and the nature of your enquiry
- Engage us under a service agreement — details required to deliver patrols, monitoring, CCTV, or access control to your site
- Visit a site we provide security to — limited operational information such as access logs and incident records
Our website uses Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use the site. Analytics is loaded only after you accept the cookie banner. If you decline, no analytics cookies are set and no usage data is sent. We never share data with advertising networks.
2. How we use it
We use personal information only for the purpose it was collected — responding to your enquiry, scoping and delivering the service you've engaged us for, meeting our obligations under the Queensland Security Providers Act 1993, and complying with lawful requests from authorities (police, courts, regulators).
3. CCTV and recording
If we install or operate CCTV at your site, recording is governed by your service agreement. Footage retention, access, and disclosure follow the agreement and applicable Queensland law. We do not on-sell or repurpose footage.
4. Disclosure
We don't sell your personal information. We disclose it only:
- To staff and contractors who need it to deliver your service (all individually licensed and background-checked)
- To service providers helping us run the business (e.g. our hosting and form provider) — bound by their own privacy obligations
- Where required by law or to protect life or property
5. Storage and security
Personal information is stored on systems with reasonable physical, technical, and administrative safeguards. We hold information only as long as we need it for the purpose it was collected, or as required by Queensland security industry record-keeping rules.
6. Your rights
Under the Australian Privacy Principles you can ask us to access the personal information we hold about you, correct it if it's wrong, or delete it where we're not legally required to keep it. Email security@tuppersecurityservices.com.au with your request — we'll respond within 30 days.
7. Complaints
If you think we've breached your privacy, contact us first at the email above. If you're not satisfied with the response, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au or 1300 363 992.
8. Changes
We may update this policy as the business changes or the law changes. The "last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision.
